8 Weeks Series - Sundays 1-2:30p - 9/4-10/23

Intro To Wrestling

If you are looking to sharpen your grappling game, get in shape, or just learn some fun new skills, this series is for you.

Not feeling like you’re making progress in your standing game? Looking for the nitty gritty pointers to easily take someone down? It’s not too late to learn how. This fall Four Elements is hosting an 8 week intro course for those wanting to get a handle on basic wrestling skills. The class is taught by Kelly Kusumoto, a HS State Champion in girls wrestling, who also hosts the Oakland Mat Rats Wrestling Club on Sundays. Feel free to stay after class to get extra guidance or just wrestle for fun.

All levels and genders are welcome in open mat.

In the next 8 weeks we will cover the basic foundation of Folkstyle wrestling also known as Collegiate wrestling. Learn the rules and techniques while developing a strong frame of mind that every wrestler pushes through! We will go over everything you need to know to shoot doubles, singles, and high C’s. We will then learn multiple ways to escape from bottom and dominate your opponent with strong top position. Be ready to push your limits as we learn these new techniques and incorporate
intense conditioning!
